Over twenty seven years of experience working in social services. |

At age fourteen worked for the Cincinnati Commission on Youth preparing hot meals for senior citizens for local senior centers. |
|
|
The next several summers worked at the Cincinnati Veteran's Administration Hospital, assisting older adults in various areas. |
|
|
In 1986, worked as an activity coordinator at one of the local nursing homes. |
|
|
In August 1993 co-founded Serving Older Adults Through Changing Times, a nonprofit organization
concerned about the conditions many older adults were forced to deal with alone. |
|
|
|
In 1994, received the Unsung Hero Award from WIZF-FM Radio Station, for the
outstanding service that SOACT provides for African American Senior Citizens. |
|
|
In 1994, received a proclamation from former Governor Richard Celeste.
Received national recognition for Invested In Neighborhood, Inc. out of Altanta, GA. |
|
|
In 2000, SOACT, and several other organizations banded together to prevent falls
and injuries to older adults. The Hamilton County Fall Task Force was recognized for our efforts
in 2003 by the Association of Professionals in Aging. |
|
|
Sandra has conducted several presentations and training on aging with older
adults, families and churches' senior ministries. |
|
|
In 2003, Sandra Jones received a B.A. in Gerontology from the College of Mount
Saint Joseph. Sandra's goal is to obtain her Ph.D. in the field of Aging. Aging well is a global
concern and Sandra feels her expertise can be shared with others. |
|
|
In 2006, Sandra Jones was the Cincinnati
Herald Nefertit award winner: for her wisdom, inner beauty,
and positive contributions to the community. |

|
In 2006, Sandra Jones received the Dara Rafiki award: celebrating the spirit
of positive women through art. |
|
|
In 2007, Sandra Jones conducted the Caring Workshop for Caring for Aging Parents. |
|
|
